Obituary of Mary Carmichael

CARMICHAEL: Mary Passed away peacefully with her son by her side at the P.R.H.C. on Sunday October 12, 2014. Mary was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1922. She is predeceased by three husbands, Murray Roberts, Roland Mesi, Donald Carmichael and her eldest son Lloyd Roberts. Survived by her son Scott Roberts of North Bay. Mary served in the Canadian Womens Army Corps (CWAC) during the Second World War. She was an elementary school teacher and taught in schools in Ilderton and Scarborough. In retirement, she volunteered for a number of organizations including Peterborough Family Counseling, Stony Lake Cottagers Association and the Lakefield Library. Friends and relatives are invited to a memorial service on Friday October 17, 2014 at 11:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Anglican Church, Lakefield. Rev. Munroe Scott officiating. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall of the church. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice as expressions of sympathy.
