Obituary of Mary Beatrice Foster

FOSTER: Mary Beatrice Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Pinecrest Nursing Home with her family by her side. Daughter of the late Laura Jane and Abel Cooper was born in Grates Cove, Trinity Bay, Newfoundland on July 26, 1925. While in Toronto she met the love of her life the late Herbert Avery Foster. They raised their four children Edwin (Sharon), Ken (late Betty), Gary (Patsy) and Shirley (Bryant) Pushie. Beat was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother. She was a blessing in our lives. She will always be remembered as a kind and caring mother. She took us to church so we could see how the Lord guides us through all situations. She attended Trinity United Church in Bobcaygeon for many years until she moved into Pinecrest Nursing Home. She loved singing the old time hymns. Beat was always there to help anyone in need. Her purpose in life was to make everyone happy and be there for each other. She loved spending time with her nine grandchildren and her 13 great grandchildren. Beat will be missed by everyone that knew her because she always made them feel good through her loving and caring ways. Beat is now rejoicing in heaven with her husband Herbert and joining her family that have gone before her. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at 1:00 PM in Pine Hills Cemetery, 625 Birchmount Road, Scarborough. Visitation will be held one hour prior. A reception will follow. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or to Pinecrest Nursing Home.
