Obituary of Mary Patricia Seiffert

Mary Patricia Seiffert (Nee Boissoin) April 6, 1951 – October 15, 2015 Mary Seiffert, passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre after a valiant fight with Breast Cancer, beginning nearly 15 years ago. She was 64 years old & had a zest for life like no other. Her unwavering spirit & humour lit up the halls of the Palliative Care Unit where she spent most of her final weeks. She came home to enjoy her own surroundings again for a short week before having to be admitted once again but died peacefully in the company of many she loved & whom loved her deeply. Mary's own steadfast faith led her to heaven Thursday night where it is certain she was to be welcomed by many who passed before her. Mary leaves behind her adoring husband of 42 blissful years, Jack Seiffert, along with her two children, Jessica Death (Michael) & Matthew Seiffert (Paige Redman). Nanny will forever be remembered by her five immensely loved grandchildren, Norah, Cady, Chasyn, Ryder & Suayde. She will also be missed by her siblings, Ron (Sylvia), Bob (late Irene) & Cheri Boissoin, & was predeceased by her parents, William & Isabelle Boissoin. Mary will also be joyfully remembered by Vivian Boissoin, countless nieces & nephews, & numerous close friends. A Memorial Mass will be held in her town of Bobcaygeon at Our Lady Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 1pm. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall of the Church. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Peterborough Regional Health Centre, Palliative Care Unit or Hospice Peterborough.
