TOMLINSON, Rick Passed away on Sunday June 12, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Wonderful husband of 30 years to Diane (nee Musgrove). Always loved and remembered by his sisters Roxanne Purdy (Doug) and Jacqueline King (Brian). Uncle Rick will be missed by Jody, Jeffrey, Jamie, Miranda, Brianne, Mitch, Jeff, Julia and Tyler and by his several great nieces and great nephews. Predeceased by his parents Peter and Jackie Tomlinson and brother Pete. To Brianne, whom Uncle Rick loved and adored as his own daughter. He helped to raise her the first year of her life and as she continued to grow, he was a major influence in her life. Their bond was so strong that when Uncle Rick needed a life saving liver transplant, Brianne selflessly donated part of her liver. Brianne had her Uncle Rick give her away on her wedding day last year with love and affection. was loved by all who knew him. Always the jokester who knew to keep life fun. Always putting others first and he was the rock of the family. An avid golfer, fisherman and his name is adorned on countless trophies. A lover of nature, animals, canoe trips, football (especially the Ti-Cats), skiing, baseball (New York Yankees) as well as Coronation Street. Rick ran the family business, Tomlinson Caterers as a third generation owner in Toronto and took pride in his work as a golf course superintendent. Rick’s family would like to thank Dr. Eric Redy, Sharon and Gene as well as Dr. McGilvery at T.G.H. In lieu of flowers, donations to Haliburton Forest Wolf Centre would be appreciated by the family. The most incredible man taken too soon. Our hearts will never heal, but the wonderful memories will be with us always until the 12th of never. A private celebration of Rick’s life will be held in his honour.
