Obituary of James Francis Mose

MOSE: James Francis “Jim” Jim passed after a lengthy battle, with his devoted son by his side on Friday December 16, 2016 and is now on the ride of his life. Jim started his career as a class ‘A’ mechanic at Coyle’s Garage in Lakefield and worked for many years at Peterborough Nissan before retiring in 2008. He continued working part-time at Bell’s Garage in Selwyn. In his earlier years, Jim owned and operated Jim’s Towing and Mose’s Haulage. He had a passion for cars and motorcycles and spent many days ‘out on the road’. Loved and missed by his daughter Christina Mose and his son James Mose Jr. “Jimmy” and his wife Julie. Grandpa is lovingly remembered by Elliana and Zoe. Also remembered by his ‘outlaw’, as he called her, Jean Dunford and his brothers Ralph (Arlene), John (Lois) and Dan (Stephanie). Jim will be missed by many of his dear and dedicated friends including his friends in Barrie. Predeceased by his parents John and Madeline Mose. A Cruise Night Celebration of Jim’s Life will be held in the Summer of 2017. Memorial donations may be made to SickKids Hospital, Toronto, as expressions of sympathy and may be made by contacting THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen St., Lakefield, at www.hendrenfuneralhome.com or by calling 705-652-3355. Special thanks to the P.R.H.C., Palliative Care nurses and especially Shari, his nurse of 3 years, for always going above and beyond. Thank you also to his best friend Rob for always being there. “You live more in five minutes on a bike like this going flat out than some people live in a lifetime.”
