Obituary of Judith Dianne Davidson

DAVIDSON: Judith Dianne “Judy” (nee Moote) Passed away peacefully yet suddenly at her home on Thursday March 23, 2017. Judy Davidson of Lakefield, formerly of Ayr, Ontario, in her 71st year.  After spending 25 years at her beloved country home 'Roxburgh Place' in Ayr where she tended her gorgeous gardens and raised Golden Retrievers, Judy moved to Lakefield 5 years ago to be closer to her dear Grandchildren, and spent many a weekend 'cheering them on' at their various activities.  As a 30-year member of the Canadian Kennel Club, Judy took great pride in raising her pups and many have enjoyed owning her beautiful Golden Retriever dogs over the years.  As a child, Judy called Orangeville home and once married, she moved to New Dundee to raise a family of her own. After her children were raised, Judy began a new journey with her now husband Derek, working together building a successful boarding kennel at Roxburgh Place, after her retirement. Before retiring, Judy worked for many years as the secretary at Ayr Public School.  Loved and missed by her husband of 27 years, Derek Try.  Also missed by her sons, Andrew Davidson of Kitchener and Scott Davidson (Rebekah Littlejohn) of Lakefield.  Dear Grandma of Christine (24), Liam (15) and Ewan (13) Davidson.  Predeceased by her parents, Barclay and Dorothy Moote, her brother John “Chip” Moote and her sister Brenda Moote. A funeral service will be held at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield, on Sunday April 2, 2017 at 3:00 PM. Visitation two hours prior to the service. A reception will follow in the Heritage Room of the Funeral Home. A private family interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery, Lakefield.
