Brenda Ford

Obituary of Brenda Irene Ford

The world has lost a kind soul and will be dearly missed by so many. Brenda Ford, in her 74th year, passed peacefully on January 26 th at The Ross Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loved ones.

Brenda was born on March 13, 1950 in Orillia Ontario. Brenda married Dave Ford, her “Knight” on July 4, 1970 and she is survived by Dave, their daughter Jennifer, son in law Jeff, granddaughters Hannah and Teagyn, sister Sherron and brother-in-law Ron. Brenda enjoyed all things nature especially at their cottage in Haliburton and she was an avid water skier and scuba diver. She loved doing crafts – her favourite being cross stitching and quilting. She found solace in her writings, inspired by, and dedicated to the teachings she received from God, letting the words pour through her. Her favourite holiday was Christmas, and all of the wonderful traditions will be carried on by the family forever.

She was kind, thoughtful, selfless, and always wore a smile. Brenda battled many illnesses including Parkinson’s and Multiple System Atrophy none of which could diminish her courage, lust for life and spontaneous positivity. She was a fighter and would say “it could always be worse”. She was courageous and caring, putting others before herself, and would always lift others up by finding a way to give things a laugh or a smile.

There will be a small “Celebration of Life” this spring with family and close friends.
