Kit grew up on a beef farm in Lakefield and has never drifted too far from the area. She is proud to work and live in Lakefield and feels like there is no other community like it.   

Kit comes from a Social Services background and joined the Hendren team in November of 2020 as an Administrative Assistant.  

Kit went into the field of Social Services because she is passionate about aiding people in substantive ways and says that there is nothing more rewarding or feels as impactful as helping people through a difficult time in their life. Kit shares it has been a great privilege assisting individuals through her experiences as a Social Service Worker and says that this experience fuels her in her role at the Funeral Home.

She says that joining the team at Hendren Funeral Home has been pivotal for her and describes her collogues as resilient, genuine and very caring of one another as well as, those they serve. Kit shares that she is very fortunate to be part of such an incredible team and is honoured to assist in serving the communities of Lakefield, Norwood, & Bobcaygeon.   

In her spare time, you can find Kit spending time at the family farm, enjoying a backyard bonfire, camping, and when she can, taking off in her jeep and going on road-trips.
