Mary had a great gift; she was "a planner". We both worked in the same school in Croydon. She told me she was planning to go to Canada. I'll come with you I said. When we got to Canada she planned our many road trips. The longest one was Toronto to Boston then to Washington and back home in a bright orange beetle, rental car. Valerie Fraser I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Mary. Mary's joy of life, grounded in a philosopy of positivity, gratitude, spirituality and kindness will be enduiring cornerstones of the legacy of a very special, wonderful, highly-principled woman. Mary and I were colleagues at Unionville Public School. We also had a special bond of being born two days apart, and throughout our years together acknowledged our birthdays. Mary always had a smile on her face and was very uplifting to her peers and students. She was an exceptional, inspirational talented person, a pleasure to be around. I admired her devotion to family, church, education, friends and community. Mary was such a fine person who is greatly missed by all who got the privilege of knowing her. We are so grateful for the wonderful memories we have of Mary, which will be very comforting in this very difficult time and in the coming days and years. Mary was deeply loved and so very much appreciated for enriching our lives.

I first met Mary when we both taught at Unionville Public School. Every day was a good day no matter what the frustrations were because Mary always saw the positive. I am so very sorry to hear of the passing of Mary. I only met her and the family a few times, except for Julie and Dylan, but Mary always had such a warmth and way of making everyone feel welcome and important. I remember her fabulous cooking and her wonderful smile. She will leave the world a little better place for having been part of it, but there will be a huge void in the hearts of many.
