Al had an engaging and unforgettable personality that always left an impression on everyone he met. We are fortunate to have been able to know him. It is our hope that, while we mourn the loss of Al, we celebrate the unique memories we were able to create with him.

Among my memories? Al was always keen on a campaign. Democracy mattered to him. Participating in the process mattered to Al. Without fail, come the next campaign, municipal, provincial or federal or leadership -Al volunteered! Out came his van filled with signs ready to be delivered across the county. At a time when democracy matteres more than ever, I am thankful for Al’s ever present “yes!” In helping. A great Liberal Party supporter, his shed remains filled with an assortment of campaign signs bubbling over with his signature commitment to our country. Thanks always Al for your spirited support. Canada needs such enthusiasm. Democracy relies upon it! You will be missed by this circle too! Dr. Betsy McGregor, C.M.

Was surprised to see Al's obit in the paper today. So sorry to see that he has skipped over the rainbow. We taught together at ASCVI for years and one could not help but like his style and his smile. After he left the local board I would met him a couple of time in London when I was at conferences. Lots of memories always flooded back of our years together. I am going to TRY to make it back for the funeral. There is a family reunion in my home town (north of Kingston) that week-end and so I will be coming back that Sunday. Hopefully I will make it for the funeral. But just in case I don't I will be there in spirit and will be sending positive thoughts to Ann and the family all the way from Chaffey's Lock. Well done my friend on your trip through life.
