Cheese and wine on Friday nights sitting in the kitchen as Cathy or Jim and I ran though the house in the Appleways as they asked what’s up.. we’d reply “it’s all good” just getting something…. And never once asked… everything ok…. They just knew it was just fine… kids being kids…. Except…. Maybe the time Jim and I went “for a drive” and we called from Boston and said oops wrong turn Mom…. Even then… Mr and Mrs Nearing handled it in their true fashion…. Not happy but everyone safe and that’s what matters…. Like a second Mom to me growing up…. I was also one of the lucky ones to have Loretta as my teacher for a year… not sure if Loretta felt the same!…. Sadly, moving on… awesome Woman… awesome Mom…. Enjoy your wine and cheese again with Dan on Friday nights! Our sincere condolences and love to the entire family. Lorne, Kelly and family.

My most sincere condolences to the family. Yvonne will be dearly missed by all who knew her. I will always remember how much fun times we shared as neighbours particularly when Yvonne used to do her famous impressions of Barbra Streisand while using a spoon for a microphone.
