Our deepest and heartfelt condolences to the entire Batten family on the passing of Murray. We first met Murray over forty years ago, shortly after meeting Jane while beginning our teaching careers in Parry Sound. Murray's calm disposition, wise advice, respectful nature, storytelling skills and loyalty to his family and friends distinguish him amongst others. We are so grateful to have known him all these years and to have shared so many great visits with him, Flo and Jane whenever they were en route to Kapuskasing. May he RIP. Love, Josie and Marcello Tignanelli & Family

To the Batten family: I just wanted to express my condolences to Murray’s family on his passing .Although I didn’t know Murray as well as I knew his brothers I would sometimes see him at Warsaw functions .I remember sitting beside him at the fowl supper a few times in The Warsaw town hall.I knew of his interest in genealogy as well. Its always amazes me how many years anyone that grew up in Warsaw and left to live elsewhere never really leaves Warsaw .Its roots are embedded deep.My Dad always loved to visit Murray’s dad at the farm he thought a lot of Ernie .Reading of Murray’s accomplishments throughout the years was very impressive he indeed left a legacy .. May you as a family reflect on memories and special times spent together no matter what age a person passes young or old we still hate to loose them. Chris Parkes (Drain)
