Our sincere condolences. So sorry for your loss. John use to stop and chat a minute or two, when he saw me out walking . Will miss that for sure, such a nice man.

We are so sorry to hear of John’s passing. Gail and I grew up with John at McCarthy’s Point and have so many good memories. We were so happy to have new memories with John in the past few years and enjoying the Hastings Historical Society together. He was a wealth of knowledge of local history and military history too. Our deepest sympathy to you Heather, Jennifer, Kurtis and all of your family.

My deepest condolences to Heather and the Caldwell family. Each encounter I had with John at Lang always involved some incredibly sly banter and a laugh. I will miss seeing him around the museum.

Condolences going out to Heather, Jennifer and Curtis. Remembering the smiles and laughs that John brought to our coffee breaks at Lang Village Museum. He'll be missed but we have good memories even though I knew him for such a short time. Hugs going out to the family during these tough days. Sheila

My condolences to the Caldwell family. John and I came from the same neighborhood in Scarborough - I even delivered the pink newspaper, the Toronto Telegram to his parents house on Laxford Avenue. I lost track of John after high school but had a momentous reconnection with him, almost 50 years later. I remember John as a solid guy and a genuine friend. Rest in peace John and who knows, perhaps we'll meet yet again. Tim Mathers
