Loved this Man . I was suddenly and without warning let go from the Regency where I had worked for 9 years. Don was a resident along with his wife Mary while I was there. He was a lovely man and despite his rough exterior was a gentle kind and funny soul . I have missed him since I left and have visited a few times . I am so sorry for your loss and saddened to learn he had passed . The regency has lost a light and we have lost a friend my thoughts are with Mary, Lori and the rest of his family at this time . We send sincere condolences to Don's family! I know Don and Mary from the years I worked at the bank. John knew Don from years of playing golf with Don at Hamilton Bay. Don was always a gentleman, always had a smile and kind word to share. Wishing Mary and the family peace and comfort. And, wishing Don a soft journey.
My condolences to Mary and Don's family. I remember his kindness when my husband Gord Tompkins was suffering from ALS. I would meet Don in Lakefield and he would drive Gord to Aces of Harmony and meet me back in Lakefield. Gord loved this activity and without Don he would have had to give up. I can't even express how grateful I was.
