Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on March 31, 2022. Lois, in her 86th year, put up a courageous and honourable fight against Multiple Myeloma for over 7 years.
Beloved wife of Donald (predeceased 2009) for over 52 years. Loving mom of Jamie (predeceased 2010), Nancy (Mark Badger) of Newmarket, Jillian (Tom Ayres) of Scarborough, Gordon of Mississauga, and Tricia (Chris Hirstwood) of Bobcaygeon. Cherished Nanny of Chantal (Grant), Andrew, Dylan, Mitchell, Maeve, Carson and Caitlin. Predeceased by her brother Fred Billett (Lily) and fondly remembered by her sister in law Sandy Clarke and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
With some trepidation, Lois arrived to Bobcaygeon in 1966 with Don and her young family to own and operate the cottage resort “Popular Pines”. This turned out to be the best decision of their lives. Lois was a very active member of the community and will be sadly missed and remembered by many.
Lois always showed a genuine interest in people. She was blessed by a large network of friends that became family. She welcomed and enriched the lives of so many.
The family would like to express sincere gratitude towards Dr. Cheung and Dr. Swain of Peterborough Regional Health Centre and their incredible and compassionate team members.
