Obituary of Edgar "Ted" (Sudsy Sr.) Sutherland

Passed away suddenly after a courageous battle at his home, with his family by his side on Tuesday October 2, 2018.  Ted Sutherland “Sudsy” of Lakefield, formerly of Hamilton in his 89^th year.  Loving husband for 65 years of Joyce (nee Turner).  Dad will be lovingly remembered by his son Ted “Sudsy Jr.” Sutherland (Sylvie) of Calgary and daughter Dawn Sutherland of Lakefield.  Missed by his grandchildren Michael Van ek (Linda), Arthur Sutherland (Kat), Danny Sutherland (Stephanie), step-grandchildren Jason (Bree) and Shane (Alysha), and great grandchildren Vanessa, Carter, Evan, Daniel, Sol and Teagan.  Survived by his brother Pete Sutherland of Florida.  Predeceased by his grandson Mark Sutherland (2001), brother Art Sutherland Sr. and sister Gert Cosby.  He will be also missed by his really close friends, that are just like family and by the family dog Misty.  Friends and relatives are invited to THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield on Tuesday October 9, 2018 from 1:00 – 2:00 PM.  A committal service will follow at Lakefield Cemetery.  A reception will be held following the committal service at the Royal Canadian Legion BR# 77, 10 Nicholls Street, Lakefield.  Memorial donations may be made to the Five Counties Children’s Centre or the charity of one’s choice as expressions of sympathy and may be made by contacting the funeral home at www.hendrenfuneralhome.com or by calling 705-652-3355.
