HUSSEY: Sidney

Passed away suddenly as the result of a motor vehicle accident on Monday May 9, 2022.  Sid Hussey of Havelock in his 65th year.  Sid will be remembered as an excellent carpenter from the area.  He loved spending time outdoors, whether hunting or fishing and could always be found flipping through a good book.  He is loved and missed by his spouse Kim Playter and his daughters Stephanie Hussey of Scarborough, Amanda Hussey of Peterborough and step-sons Andrew Playter (Sapphire) of Saskatchewan and Philip Playter of Toronto.  Grandpa is remembered by Alexus, Brooklyn, Hazel, step grandchildren Thomas, Shawna, Alexis, Melanie and 5 step great grandchildren.  Survived and missed by his sisters Edith Masters (Wayne) of Nova Scotia, Jeannette Hussey of Edmonton, Georgina Smith (Glen) of Newfoundland and brothers Rudy Hussey (Loretta) of Alberta, Doug Hussey (Wendy) of Havelock and Stephen Hussey of Havelock.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his parents John & Violet and step-son David.  Friends and relatives may call at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield on Friday May 13, 2022 from 7:00 – 9:00 PM.  A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday May 14, 2022 at 3:00 PM.  Cremation to follow.  A Celebration of Sid’s Life will be held at a later date.  Memorial donations may be made to the Havelock Library as expressions of sympathy and may be made by contacting the funeral home at www.hendrenfuneralhome.com or by calling 705-652-3355.
