Obituary of Frank Murphy
Passed away on Monday, May 30, 2022 at Case Manor Long Term Care, Bobcaygeon, Ontario at the age of 91. Frank was born on April 29, 1931 in Maple Plains, PEI to the late Edward & Althea (née Fitzsimmons) Murphy. He and Thelma moved to Bobcaygeon after his early retirement from the Board of Education to be closer to Salmon Lake – the home of their family cottage. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 65 years, Thelma (née Robinson). Frank will be forever loved and missed by his children, Cheryl Lorenz, Michael (Judy Wilson), and Marion Violette. Proud grandpa of his 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Brother of Russ Murphy, Pauline Mancini, Cathy Ash, Teresa Groenig, Earl Murphy, Jim Murphy, Janice Flannagan and the late Leo Murphy. Frank was a devoted husband, great father, grandfather, and uncle to many. He was an avid Montreal Canadiens fan and he was often seen around town in his red jacket and Aussie hat. As expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation by contacting the funeral home.
