My memory of Charles my brother
He was older than I , but I remember he liked racing “ Jockeys’” in the flooded street drains, flying kites and playing cricket as a fast bowler in the Savannah. Breeding imported pigeons for racing and among them were “ “Miss Miami “ and” Miami Lad “.
While schooling in Barbados, he also developed a love for horse racing and even invested in horses nameld Beldune, Bage and War Lord.
Sunday morning sportsman newspaper articles were part of his life.
Charles was a favorite with all the extended family, sharing his tremendous knowledge of the Pantin / Melizan history.
He had a good sense of humor and as brothers we always had a close and special relationship.
He was good company and will be dearly missed.
