Junkin, Catherine Anne (nee Walker)

 

Passed away peacefully at the Aspira Kawartha Lakes Retirement Living Facility on Thursday,

January 23, 2025 in her 90th year. Loving mother of Mark Junkin (Bernardette) of Iowa. Proud grandmother of Huck, Colt, Scout and Stetson Junkin. Predeceased by her parents Henry and Myrtle Walker and her brother Murray Walker (Muriel). Fondly missed by close friends and extended family members.   Catherine enjoyed a teaching career and was an active member of Trinity United Church. She enjoyed volunteering at Settler's Village, curling and enjoyed painting and quilting. She had a love of the farm, especially horses which she rode into her 80's. Catherine was last to ask for help but quick to offer support to her family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her.

 

 Family and friends are called to THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES MONK CHAPEL, 6 Helen Street, Bobcaygeon, for visitation on Friday January 31st, 2025 from 3:00 -6:00 pm. A service will take place at Trinity United Church, 44 William St, Bobcaygeon on Saturday February 1st at 11:30 am with visitation one hour prior. Reception to follow. A private family Interment will take place at Bury’;s Green Cemetery at a later date.
