Obituary of Gwen Tedford

TEDFORD: Joan Gwendolyn “Gwen” (nee Clark)

February 2, 1931 – February 10, 2025

Gwen (Clark) passed away at Pleasant Meadow Manor, Norwood in her 95^th year.  Devoted wife of the late Elmer Nelson Tedford.  Loving mother of Lynne Dobson of Halifax, N.S., Connie Perry (Steve) of Cornwall, Karen McCarthy (Brian) of Scottsdale, Arizona, Jim (Katherin) of Young’s Point and Craig (Kim) of Lakefield. Dear grandmother of Shayne, Shawna, Crystal, Alison, Justin, Chris, Amy, Nathan and Lauren.  Great grandmother to 12 and great great grandmother to 3.  Gwen is survived by her siblings Dorothy Lainey Clark, Gary Clark, Catherine Fox and many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her son Ralph Nelson Tedford, her parents Elizabeth Anne (Elliott) and James Justin O’Brien Clark, her dear sister June Organ and her two brothers Robert and Lowell Clark.  Many thanks to everyone at Rubidge Retirement Residence where mom lived for four years prior to moving into Pleasant Meadow Manor.  She loved her time there and the friends she made, especially her kind friend Don Dunford who recently passed.  We are so grateful to the wonderful team at Pleasant Meadow Manor for their loving care in the past two years.  Thank You!  Gwen will be missed and remembered by the many lives she touched.  A Celebration of Life will be held in the Heritage Room of THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield on Friday March 7, 2025 at 1:00 PM.  As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Selwyn Outreach Centre.  Friends may send condolences or make donations by contacting the funeral home at www.hendrenfuneralhome.com or by calling 705-652-3355.
