ERICKSON, Catherine Anne (nee Christian)

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Mom, Cathy Erickson, at the P.R.H.C. on Monday February 10, 2025.  Cathy Erickson of Lakefield in her 80^th year.  Born on November 8, 1945 and raised in Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of John and Evelyn Christian, and the caring sister of Joe (Lee), John (Eileen), Betty (Leo) and Margaret (John).  Cathy spent most of her life selflessly devoted to her children, Kelly (Tim), Sheri (Pat), Jason and Shaun.  She will also be remembered by her daughters-in-law Candace and Martina.  She was predeceased by her loving husband Walter Erickson (1998) and her beautiful grandson Brent Upper (2017).  She was a proud Nanny who will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by Grandchildren Drew, Timmy, Kourtney (Dylon), Kayla (Andrew), Kyle (Natasha), Michael, Rhein and Fenola and Great Grandchildren Zoe, Brayleigh, Brent, Jayda, Aiden, Aubree, Nevaeh, and Makenna. She is survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.  Cathy will be remembered for her no-nonsense attitude, her incredible work ethic, her love of reading and her endless and unwavering devotion to her family.  Many will remember Cathy for delivering their local newspapers over the years and her dedication to getting them to her readers on time.  A celebration of life to honour Cathy will be held on Sunday February 23, 2025 at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #77, 10 Nicholls Street, Lakefield from 1:00 – 4:00 pm.
