Passed away at Pinecrest Nursing Home on February 19th, 2025, surrounded by her family.
Marguerite “Lorraine” Button (née Minaker) of Bobcaygeon, in her 96th year.
Beloved wife of the late Wallace Button. Dear mother of the late Brenda Thurston, Lance Thurston (Betty), Randy Thurston (Jean), the late Donna Patchett (Dave) and Cheryl Young (Mike). Dear grandmother of many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Lorraine is survived by her brothers Angus Minaker (Marilyn), and Bruce Minaker (Audrey), and is predeceased by her brothers Roy Minaker, Ward Minaker (Mae), Clifford Minaker (d. Joan), Howard Minaker (d. Belle), and sisters Eileen Storms (d. Clifford) and Audrey Vernoy (d. Maurice). Lorraine leaves behind many nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at the Bobcaygeon Seniors Centre, 100 Head Street Bobcaygeon, on May 4th, 2025 from 1 – 3 pm.
