WOOD: Isobel “Wendy”

Passed away at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, on Monday March 17, 2025.   Wendy Wood (née Cleugh) of Peterborough at age 94.  Beloved wife of the late Glenn Wood.  Loving mother of Scott Wood (Heather), Dean Wood (Pamela) and Kent Wood (Donna).  Dear grandmother of Taryn (Remi), Lauren (Brady), Kenda (Andre), Nelson (Kristy), Christopher (Korenn), Sean and great grandmother of 10.  Predeceased by her brother Peter Cleugh.   Born and raised in Lachine Quebec, Wendy attended Havergal College School in Toronto, before enrolling at McGill University.  After completing a BSc (PE) degree, she taught school for 2 years.  She then met and married the love of her life, Glenn. Wendy stayed home to raise her three sons.   A long-time volunteer at Lachine General Hospital, she supported many community organizations. She loved playing bridge with her friends and beating her grandkids and brother at cribbage.  Wendy’s happy place was at her cottage on Horseshoe Island, Stoney Lake. Heaven on Earth!
