
Obituary of Terence Arthur Paul Beauclerc
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Terence “Terry” Arthur Paul Beauclerc on April 1st, 2025, at Hospice Peterborough. Born in Toronto on June 4th, 1954, to David and Kathleen Beauclerc, raised and retired in Lakefield, Terry was a beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, and Friend.
Terry was a man of many talents and passions, embracing a diverse and fulfilling career throughout his life. He was an accomplished professional drummer, a skilled hairstylist, a dedicated bass fisherman, and a beloved bus driver and trainer. No matter what path he pursued, he did it with enthusiasm, care, and an unwavering dedication to excellence.
Beyond his career, Terry gave countless hours to his community. Alongside his wife, Sherrine, he devoted many years as the Director of the Canadian Knights and the Squires Drum Corps, inspiring young musicians and shaping the future of the activity he loved. He also proudly served as a Lakefield District Lion, always finding ways to give back and support those in need within his community.
Terry is survived by his devoted wife, Sherrine Clare Beauclerc (née Logan); his loving siblings Janice (Steven) Wright, Darlene (Ron) Charlton, and Ken (Margaret) Beauclerc; and his three sons, Michael, Danny (Lina), and Adam (Sara). He was a proud grandfather to Reid, Noelle, Addison, William, Alora, and Nya, who brought him endless joy.
Terry will be remembered for his kindness, wisdom, sense of humor, and deep love for his family. His impact on those who knew him—whether as a mentor, musician, friend, or loved one—will never be forgotten.
A service to honor Terry’s life will be held on Saturday, April 5th, 2025 at the Hendren Funeral Home – Lakefield Chapel, 66 Queen St, Lakefield. Visitation to begin at 10:30am, followed by service at 12:00 noon. Interment will be at Lakefield Cemetery with a reception afterwards at the funeral home.
