Obituary of Bill Schregardus
William “Bill” Schregardus
February 13, 1958 – April 2, 2025
Bill’s ability to fill a room with laughter will be greatly missed by many. He died peacefully at Hospice Peterborough after a lengthy battle with cancer.
He is survived by his brothers Jack (Margaret), Edward and Henry; sister-in-law Connie; many nieces and nephews; his teenage sweetheart and partner for the past ten years, Marda Drew; her siblings Scott (Sarah), Paula, Cynthia (Wendell) and their extended families; many friends from his years working in theatre, construction and at the Buckhorn Community Centre as Facility Manager – where Bill was always ready to have coffee and share a story.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, Frederik and Cornelia of Friesland, the Netherlands, his brother Fred and sister Betty.
Bill was enormously grateful for his incredible medical team and to everyone who gave their support with many acts of kindness.
Arrangements have been entrusted to THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOME – LAKEFIELD CHAPEL. Family and friends are invited to come together at the Buckhorn Community Centre (1782 Lakehurst Road, Buckhorn) on Saturday June 21st, 2025.
