Dave, Chris and families
We had such amazing memories of spending our summers at Buckeye Centre back in the 70’s when we were kids, 80’s where we were in our teens….we throughly enjoyed the many corn roasts that Joyce and Frank had for their guests. So many family members and new friends we met along the way, and Joyce and Frank were true ambassadors for Buckeye Centre. Their dogs were a delight favourite among the guests, and they were indeed spoiled by everyone. Sending our deepest condolences to you all, I kept in contact with Joyce throughout the years after she retired and recently stayed at Buckeye in 2022. Joyce was such a lovely friend, who will be sorely missed, but I know Frank & Gary are waiting with open arms.

Dave, Chris and all the Poole family we are so sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. She was such a wonderful lady always with a smile and a joy to talk to and be around. Our families enjoyed many good times with your mom, dad and whole family. One story that I will always remember is your mother teaching my brother Paul (Thompson) to dance as a teenager before going to the prom. Sending our sincere sympathy to you all. You will have many happy memories forever in your hearts. Cherylyn (Thompson) & Dave Dick

Dear Chris & Dave and your and Gary's Families,
I worked for your Mom as a housekeeper in my youth. Joyce was a big influence drawing me to the field of Hospitality. As mentor she reigned supreme, setting the bar for customer-care standards that led me to aim very high in life and to achieve great things. Joyce exuded a warm intensity, elegance and grace in all she did. I have thought of her often throughout my life and I am very grateful to have known her. My deepest sympathy to you all. Joyce was one of the good ones! Warm regards, Jill Lawrence (nee Hannigan)

Hugs to all of you during this time.
As you know with Frank and Gary, those we love don't go away - they fly beside us everyday.
You will keep Joyce alive as you and others: speak her name and tell her stories and keep the love for her in your hearts.
We have such great memories from our time with your mother. Mom always made a point of saying that she enjoyed the same number of years on the planet, and spent some of them together. She feels blessed to have these memories to ponder.
Of course so do all of us who enjoyed her hospitality and advice as we travelled through youth to adulthood. It wouldn't have been the same with out her, your dad, or Gary. I hope they are getting caught-up and enjoying heavenly things.
