Obituary of Roy Edward Loveless
LOVELESS: Roy Edward
February 2, 1941 – May 7, 2025
Roy passed away peacefully at Campbellford Memorial Hospital, with his loving wife of 66 years, Shirley (née Rutt) and his three children Rick, Carolyn and Roy Jr. by his side.
Roy was born in Brighton Ontario, but was resided in Norwood after he retired from General Motors after 32 dedicated years of service. Roy was a solid brother to Ethol, Winnie, Jimmy, George, Dean, Grace, Kitty, Marilyn and Connie. Great father-in-law to Neil Hodges, Kim Patterson and Nancy Loveless. Proud Grampa to Candace, Jake, Amanda, Lauren and Rachel. Great-Grampa to Jaden, Bronwyn, Sophie, Maddox, Lochlan, Atleigh and Isla. He will also be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews.
He will always be remembered for his love of woodworking; building toys and generously giving them to all. His love for old country music that would have him singing and playing
his guitar with family and friends. But at the end of the day all that knew him would say "He loved to his tell stories". We will miss your vast knowledge on how to fix almost anything, your funny songs and stories of the past. We will love you forever. Gone but never forgotten.
The family wishes to extend their appreciation to all the great neighbors of Baker Street.
To the Northumberland Paramedics and for the wonderful care, and to Campbellford Memorial Hospital and Peterborough Hospital for their patience. A special thank you to Hendren Funeral Home for helping us ease our pain.
