It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of David Glyndwr Green on June 5, 2025, at the age of 86. Born in England, David moved to Canada in 1967 and became a proud Canadian citizen. He was a devoted husband, father, and friend, known for his warmth, humour, and kindness.
David had a lifelong passion for cars and worked for many years as the Service Manager at Peterborough Volkswagen, where he loved his work and valued his colleagues deeply. A fitness enthusiast, he shared a love of squash with his daughter, enjoyed music and dancing, and had a fondness for sci-fi, westerns, and all things James Bond. In retirement, he volunteered with Community Care, making lasting friendships and continuing his lifelong commitment to helping others.
David is lovingly remembered by his wife Carol, daughter Kelly, and son-in-law Evan. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Hendren Funeral Home, 66 Queen Street, on June 13 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
