Maire Pulkki (Virolainen)
It is with great sadness that we have lost Maire in her 98th year. She leaves behind her dear husband Veikko, Aiti to Ella (Warren) and Anni (Mike), Mummo to Savannah, Joshua, Jessi, Rebecca, Jordan and the late Peter; and great-grandchildren Brayden, Sienna, Nevaeh, Norah, Isla, Vivian and Harper. Mummo was loved deeply by all of us.
Coming to Toronto from Finland, she met Veikko and they shared an adventurous life together. They built a cottage near Kingston, Ontario where Maire enjoyed fishing, and boy could she fish! Maire was a wonderful Mummo, and always said that children brought “life” into the house! An active member of Agricola Lutheran Church, she enjoyed baking, entertaining family and friends, travelling to Florida and California, and picking berries and mushrooms. Maire lived life to the fullest and we were blessed to have her with us for so long.
