Obituary of Florence Lorraine Gauthier

July 27, 1942 – June 22, 2025

Our mom, Nan, and great-Nan, Lorraine, has officially left the building. Born in Inverness, NS, and most recently residing in Lindsay, ON, she passed away on June 22, 2025 at the age of 82; probably because she decided she’d had enough of everyone’s nonsense.

Lorraine told it like it was. No filters, no fluff. You always knew where you stood with her (and if you didn’t, she’d be happy to tell you). She loved her family fiercely, even while keeping us all in line with a sharp eye and sharper wit. 

She leaves behind her three daughters, Michelle (Jim), Monique, and Renée (Ryan). Seven grandkids Brady, Randy, Katelyn, Ryker, Madison, Jamie, and Jason. As well as seven great-grandkids Boe, Lyle, Summer, Ella, Walker, Clayton, and Cameron; who will all be hearing her voice in their heads for years to come.

Predeceased by her parents Susanna and Archibald, her brothers George and Alec, and her ex-husband Ronald. She is survived by her sister Mary.

She always ended phone calls with, “Bye for now.” So, Lorraine - bye for now. We love you. We miss you. And we promise to keep it real, just like you taught us.
