Obituary of Jason Erskine Utter

UTTER, Jason   March 23rd, 1972 – July 13, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jason Erskine Utter at the age of 53. Jason leaves behind his cherished daughter Ellen Utter and Taylor Edwards, that he lovingly helped raise.

He is predeceased by his father, John Douglas Utter, and is survived by his mother, Lynn Elizabeth Utter. Jason will be deeply missed by his brother Jeffrey Utter and his wife Julie, along with their children, Jacob, Ryan, and Emma.

Jason's passing is mourned by countless Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins as well as many dear friends whose lives he touched with his kindness, warmth, and generosity. Jason was known for his love of nature, wildlife, and passion for the outdoors. He loved the game of hockey and was an avid Leaf’s fan, a passion that he passed down to his daughter Ellen.

Rest easy, Jason. You will be forever missed, but your memory will remain a light in our lives forever.

A celebration of life will take place on Saturday September 13th, 2025 from 1:30- 4:00pm in the Swanston Room of the Peterborough Lions Community Centre, located at 347 Burnham St., Peterborough, Ontario. Breif words will be said starting at 2:00pm.
