SCANGA: Antonio “Tony”
Passed away with family by his side at the Campbellford Memorial Hospital on Sunday July 20, 2025. Tony Scanga of Norwood in his 82nd year. Tony will be remembered by many for his exceptional hairdressing services that he was dedicated to providing for over 50 years in the Durham Region. He loved to spend time in his garden tending his many plants. He is loved and missed by his wife Isabel “Molly” of Norwood. Loving dad of the late Troy (d. 2020), Stacey Crawford (Jim) and Wanda Begg (Barclay), both of Norwood. Survived by his daughter-in-law Sherry Scanga of Little Britain. Cherished Poppa of Zach (Lauren), Jorja, Abi (Kody) and Daniel. Also survived by his sisters Carmela Canonico (Joe), Teresa Provenzano (Otto) and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Giovanna and Bruno and siblings Antonio, Angela, Luca, Guerino “Warry”, Giuseppe “Joe” and Francesco “Frank”. Friends and relatives may call at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, NORWOOD CHAPEL, 36 Queen Street, Norwood, on Sunday July 27, 2025 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday July 28, 2025 at 1:00 PM. Cremation to follow. A reception will follow in the fellowship room of the funeral home.
