STEWART: William “Bill”

After a life well lived, Bill passed away Peacefully, on August 7, 2025, to be with his God. He leaves behind the love of his life, his true and loving partner Roselinda Stewart. Bill is survived by his sister Kathy Freeburn, his niece Ariane and nephews Brent and Duncan and their beautiful families. Bill took much pleasure in watching them grow to become very special people. Bill will be dearly missed by his many lifelong friends.

Predeceased by his loving parents Archie and Winnifred and sister Pamela.

Bills heart was truly filled with gratitude as his life was full of blessings.  To his final days, he reflected on quiet days fishing with his father and noting the beautiful blue sky with his dear mother. He loved to travel with his special Rose and having explored 28 countries and every Canadian province, he hungered for more.  Canoeing in the Yukon or digging for opal in Australia, on an elephant trek in Thailand, or photographing the “great migration” in Kenya, he continued to smile and thank God for the opportunities and experiences he enjoyed.  He always recognized how special his friends were and never took those relationships for granted.  He felt so very blessed by those that held a special place in his heart.  He Loved them dearly.

Bill wanted to thank his family doctor Dr. A. Kathiravelu, his oncologist Dr. J. Rothenstein and team, as well as the PRHC palliative care team and Dr. Alison Morelli for their care and guidance and their endless compassion.  He felt fortunate to have these professionals guiding him on his final journey.
