Obituary of Lloyd Ross Althouse
Passed away peacefully at Picton Hospice on August 7th, 2025. Lloyd Ross Althouse of Norwood in his 100th year. Beloved husband of the late Barbara Althouse (nee Cuthbertson). Dad will always be loved and remembered by his children Wendy Edgar (Duane) of Picton, Deanna Leparskis (D. Henry) of Trenton and Jennifer Patrick (Sean) of Lethbridge, Alberta. Cherished and proud grandpa of Michael (Dana), Christopher (Alicia) and Andrew (Laura) Edgar. Beloved great grandpa to Isabelle. Ross is also remembered by his sister Colleen Dore and by several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents Ethel (nee Scott) and Colin Althouse, sister Clara "Babe” Graham, brother Lionel Althouse and sister-in-law Sylvia Althouse.
Cremation has taken place. A Havelock Masonic Lodge #435 service will commence at 11:30am followed by a Royal Canadian Legion Branch 300, Norwood service at 12:00pm.
Relatives and friends are invited to call to the funeral home for visitation from 12:30pm – 2:00pm. A funeral service to follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 2:00pm. A reception will follow the service.
All services will take place on Monday August 18th, 2025 at the HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES NORWOOD CHAPEL, 36 Queen Street Norwood.
Inurnment will take place at Asphodel – Norwood Cemetery following the reception.
