DOUGHTY: William Forsythe “Bill”

Passed away peacefully at Hospice Peterborough on Wednesday August 13, 2025.  Bill Doughty of Buckhorn in his 75th year.  Bill grew up in Bridgenorth and has lived his entire life in the area.  Over the years, he worked at several factories including Raybestos, N.H.B. and Royal Homes.  He always enjoyed building things, whether it was his home, carpentry or working on cars.  In his spare time, he loved to go fishing with his grandchildren.  He is loved and missed by his wife of 55 years, Connie and his children Bill (Cleo) of Lakehurst and Meg Watts (Tim) of Peterborough.  Dear Grandpy of Steve and Brad Cooper (Becka), Declan Walker (Jordan) and Mason Walker (Eve).  Great grandpa of Caylee and Phoebe.  Survived by his brother Barry Doughty (Ruth) of Selwyn and several nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his parents Everett and Avice, sister Donna Thompson and brother Dale Doughty (Sharon).  Cremation has taken place.  Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice and may be made by contacting THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield at www.hendrenfuneralhome.com or by calling 705-652-3355.
