Obituary of Violet Rose Barrett

In loving memory 

Violet Rose Barrett (nee Jessamine) passed away at Riverview Manor in Peterborough on August 28, 2025 surrounded by family.

Vi was born In Toronto May 18, 1929 to Ida Amalia Lundi and James Henry Jessamine. As a teen she ventured west, where she met her husband, John Raymond Barrett. John & Vi married and raised their family in Scarborough before retiring to their much-loved cottage on Pigeon Lake near Bobcaygeon.

Vi eventually moved into Bobcaygeon a few years after John's passing in 1999 and then on to Peterborough 3 years ago.

Vi is lovingly remembered by her 3 children-  Lynda (Terry James) Cartwright, Peterborough; Lori (Ken) Martin, New Brunswick; (John) Ronald Barrett, Barrie.

8 Grandchildren-   Jeanine (Mark Passmore) Ward, Travis (Katherine) Martin, Melodi Martin, Ryan Martin, John (Melanie) Barrett, Nicole Cartwright, Faith Barrett and Jackson Barrett.

13 Great-grandchildren - Makaella, Reilly, Khora, Quinten, London, Keaghan, Desmond, Ivy, Ella, Anneke, Kieran, Ayla and William, and 1 Great-Great Granddaughter, Janessa.
