ASH, Joanna “Jo” (nee Hurst)
Passed away at home in Lakefield on October 17, 2025. Joanna Ash of Ennismore, in her 87th year. Born in Morpeth, Northumberland, United Kingdom to Rita and John Hurst. Beloved wife of Robert “Bob” Ash, married in 1962. Loving mother of Stephen Ash (Janet) of Carleton Place, Ontario and Susan Gilders (Kevin) of Lakefield, Ontario. Dear grandmother of Kyle, Sydney, Amy and Michael, and great grandmother of Parker, Paityn and Liam. Jo will be missed by many friends and family.
A memorial service will be held at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOME – LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield, on Monday November 24, 2025, commencing at approximately 11:15am. Visitation to commence prior, at 10am. A private interment is to take place. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Peterborough YES Shelter or BEL (Bridgenorth, Ennismore, Lakefield) Rotary.
