Kim, Diane & families - Your Mom was a truly wonderful and caring person. We enjoyed spending time with her at convention and working on the fair board together. Apparently, when she was nine or ten years-old, Marion wrote a letter to Santa, asking for a baby sister. The old guy consented and sent me. We used to harass Mom at dinner, going into the Smothers Brothers routine, "Mother always liked you best." I'll miss you, old gal.

Losing someone who treated you like their own child is a unique kind of pain. Momma Marion truly held the most precious space in my heart. She has always been like a second mother to me.
Growing up, I always felt loved, welcomed and safe in her presence. She had a wonderful way of making everyone feel special. The warmth she gave me and the memories will stay with me forever.
