Obituary of Marion Gartner
Marion Donna Elizabeth Gartner (née Clark)
November 5, 1939 – December 3, 2025
Marion Gartner passed away peacefully at Ross Memorial Palliative Care Unit on December 3, 2025, at the age of 86, with family at her side.
A proud resident of Bobcaygeon, active in the Bobcaygeon Kinettes for many decades as well as previously volunteering with the Bobcaygeon Fair Board and an active member of the Bobcaygeon Senior Centre.
She was the beloved wife of Joe The Barber and devoted mother to Vicky (deceased), Diane (Jeff), and Kimberly (Matt). Cherished sister-in-law to John (deceased), Teresa (deceased), Elisabeth and Mary. She was a loving Aunt to Carol (Frank), Mike, Steve (deceased), and Darcy. Marion was the eldest daughter of Howard and Grace Clark, a devoted daughter in law to Elisabeth (deceased) and a dear sister to Murray (deceased) and Ruth Clark. She was a proud grandmother to Tyler (Racheal) and Madyson (Zack), and a delighted great-grandmother to Scottie and Leighton. Marion also had extended family and many close cousins throughout the area.
Marion’s humor and positivity was always front and center - even on her last day. She enjoyed a spirited joke, never turned down a cocktail, and was known to kick up her heels with a little tabletop dancing. When the mood struck, she could even put on a show with her kazoo or spoons.
She has many dear friends in our community and beyond. We are grateful for their support and look forward to hearing their many stories of mom at her Celebration of Life on Wednesday Dec 10th from 1pm to 3pm at Hendren (Monk) Funeral Home in Bobcaygeon. Please come prepared to share a laugh and a memory in a casual setting
We thank the staff at Ross Memorial Palliative Care Unit for their compassion.
