Passed away at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on December 4th, 2025 in his 91st year. Arnold will be dearly missed by his loving wife Jane (née Fee), his children Rick (Cathy d., Heather), Steve (Monique), John (Sue), and Shelley (David) Preston, as well as step-children Bob, Sean (Kelly), and Liz Fee. Arnold was a devoted grandfather of Rhonda, Rachel, Jordan, Ryan, Kodie, and Stephanie, and step-grandfather to Maddi, Natalie, and Connor. Beloved great-grandfather to Preston, Hudson, Mossi, Violet, Arabella, and another baby on the way. Arnold will also be missed by his sister Barb. Predeceased by siblings Jean, Ralph, Alex, and Betty.
Arnold was born and raised in Lakefield on a family farm along Preston Road. He started off his working career at Pittsburgh Glass in Peterborough, then worked in construction and was a well-known businessman in Peterborough throughout his long career. His legacy includes Gerard Canada Steel Roofing, Kawartha Moving and Storage, Preston Construction, and Preston Court Apartments. He was involved in charity work with Kinsmen, the K-40 Club, and the Kawartha Men’s Social Club. Arnold was a devoted family man, a hardworking business owner, and a proud member of the Peterborough community.
A service will be held on Thursday December 11, 2025 at 12:00 PM at HENDREN FUNERAL HOME – LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield, with interment at Lakefield Cemetery and a reception following at the funeral home.
