It is with great sadness that we advise of the death of Jonathan William Kennedy on Wednesday September 24, 2025 in Calgary, Alberta at the age of 42 years.  Jon is survived by his younger brother Munch Kennedy, his loving mother Luanne Tanton, father Mark Kennedy, niece Arianna Kennedy, uncle Sonny Tanton and his wife Karen, uncle Jim Tanton and his partner Tina, aunt Sherri Loucks and her husband Dave as well as many cousins and friends.  He is predeceased by his older brother Tom Kennedy and his grandparents Joan and Bill Tanton and Ada Kennedy.  A Celebration of Jon’s Life will be held in the Heritage Room of THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield on Friday December 12, 2025 from 12:30 – 2:00 PM.  Refreshments will be provided.  Following the service, family will attend the Lakefield Cemetery for the interment of Jon’s remains.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a mental health or addiction facility of your choice and may be made by contacting the funeral home at www.hendrenfuneralhome.com or by calling 705-652-3355.
