Archie Peter Kidd
Passed away peacefully with his family by his side, at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on December 11th, 2025, in his 84th, year. An avid hunter and fisherman, he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family while enjoying these sports. Archie owned several businesses during his life including but not limited to A. Kidd Exc. Ltd from 1979 – 2005 and Ironwoods Golf Course from 2004 – 2013. Archie was proud of his Algonquin Heritage. Beloved husband to Shirley (nee Dunford) for 63 wonderful years. Proud father of Catherine (David), Karen (Tim), Steven (Andrea), Paul (Jennifer) and Joseph (Sharon). Archie will be lovingly remembered by 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Archie is survived by his sister Christine and family friend Brad Barnett.
Arrangements have been entrusted to THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOME – LAKEFIELD CHAPEL. A Celebration of Life will take place on January 31st, 2026 at The Hendren Funeral Home (66 Queen Street, Lakefield) from 1:00 PM till 4:00 PM.
