We are so very saddened by this news. We have so many wonderful memories of Harold, always on the go, bombing around on his ATV with a ladder over his shoulder like a young man. It was hard to believe his was in his eighties. I remember asking my girls to go help him as he was getting off his tractor on rugged ground by the beach, after putting our seadoos in the water for us. To my surprised he merely jumped off the tractor, and was on the go before my daughter could get over to him. He never ceased to amaze us with his energy and mobility. He also had an amazing memory and could recall everything we had ever shared with him about our family and even our dog. So many of our friends and family have heard of Harold, as we always shared stories about how he amazed us for his age. His attitude about life, his sense of humour and his multitude of interest and skills made him a most intriguing and admirable man. We will miss him immensely but we are so grateful to have known him and to have shared many of our summer vacations at the cottage.
