Jim, Darrell and Mike, I still find it difficult to get my head around the fact Marilyn is gone. I am deeply sorry for your loss and wish I could say something that will ease your pain and loss. Unfortunately there isn’t, only time can do this. Please know, Marilyn loved you all so very much. She would often talk about her boys. She was thrilled to have Darrell in the house. In her Xmas card she mentioned again how much he did for her and Jim. Her Xmas card arrived just a few days before her passing and she told me how Darrell was the artistic one and he would do all the holidays decorating for her. She was blessed with her men. Marilyn was a great friend, she had a quiet strength about her and you knew you could count on her no matter what. We met in early 1994 while going through training together becoming Correctional Officers and as luck would have it we got hired on to the same maximum all male facility. Our first year was tough and having her there as a friend made it so much easier. Marilyn earned the respect from her co-worker and inmates alike. I consider myself so fortunate being able to call Marilyn my friend for all these years even after she retired and moved to Ontario, Thank you my friend, until we meet again.
Sabine and Bill (Bill also worked in the pre trial centre for many many years and knew Marilyn well and was as shocked as I am when he leaned of her passing.)
