Obituary of John Stanley Caldwell

June 3 1952-January 21, 2026 

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John on January 21, 2026 at Toronto Western Hospital surrounded by his beloved wife, of 51 years, Heather (Nee Patterson) and his loving family.  Predeceased by his parents, Russell and Dorothy (Nee Brooks) Caldwell. Survived by his children, Jennifer (Chris Wilson) of Peterborough and Kurtis (Codie) of Revelstoke, BC.  

John was born and raised in Toronto, while spending his summers at the family cottage near Hastings. A 30-year employee at Fisher Cast, and 4 years at Flying Colours before retirement. He served his community for 26 years as a Volunteer Firefighter in Asphodel, and he has been a familiar face at Lang Pioneer Village for many years. He loved the outdoors with fishing, hunting, camping, scuba diving, and his passion for all thing’s history. He will be missed by the many friends he so easily made over the years.  

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hendren Funeral Homes - Norwood Chapel. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
