Obituary of Donna Didsbury

Donna Marie Didsbury (McQuade) passed away peacefully in Nanaimo, British Columbia, at the age of 85. Though she spent her final years on Vancouver Island, her heart remained deeply rooted in the Lakefield, Ontario community, where she lived for more than fifty years and built a life defined by love, loyalty, and quiet strength.

Donna had a deep affection for simple joys — her flowers, her gardens, and the dogs in her life. She nurtured everything she touched, and the people in her life felt that care most of all. She was the kind of woman who put her family before herself, always offering support, comfort, and a steady presence.

She is predeceased by her husband, David Andrew, and her sons Scott Andrew and David Mark. She leaves behind her children Kimberly (Brad) Westwell, Kevin (Stephanie), Lynn (Jeff) Dickinson, Philipp, Sean (Kim), and Todd; along with 13 grandchildren and 10 great‑grandchildren, all of whom carry her love forward in their lives.

Donna’s legacy is one of devotion, resilience, and generosity. She will be deeply and dearly missed by all who knew her.
