Rodier, Octave “George” Joseph
Passed away at his private residence on Sunday, April 19th, 2026.
Beloved husband of 46 years to Linda May Rodier (nee Vaughan). Loving step father to Lisa Mai McWilliams (nee Self). Grandfather to Miranda McWilliams (Ackeem Corbin) and Sheridan McWilliams (Justin Shortt). Great grandfather to Akilah Corbin.
George is predeceased by his mother Judith Rodier Trottier, step-father William “Bill” Trottier, father Joseph Rodier and sister Jeanine Hayden.
George is survived by sisters Therese Hill (Jack Hill) and Marie Hooper and nieces Carmen Charlebois Davidson, Rachelle Charlebois Alderson (Sherry Alderson) and Diane Charlebois Osborne (Glen Osborne). George will be dearly missed by many more family and friends that knew him.
He was a good and loving husband, step father, grandfather and great grandfather who enjoyed spending time with family. He had a long career working in the Industrial Sales industry and in later years he drove taxi before relaxing into retirement with Linda.
Georges first love was woodworking, a passion that he shared with his step-father who was a carpenter. Some of the other hobbies he loved and enjoyed doing were golf, fishing, relaxing outdoors, painting and doing diamond art. He was also an avid reader - he could stay up all night reading a good book.
Georges passing has left much emptiness in the family’s hearts and lives and he is being deeply missed. A celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
