SWEETING: Mildred Faye
It is with great sadness that the family of Faye announce her passing at Fairhaven Home, Peterborough on Tuesday April 21, 2026, in her 91st year. Faye Sweeting of Lakefield, has gone home to rest in the arms of her Lord. Faye was a faithful servant of God, working with the Mission Circle and the Visiting Committee of Lakefield Baptist Church. She was a member of the Lakefield Fair Board and over her years she took home many ribbons for her hard work. She leaves behind her son Paul (Elaine), sister Joan, niece Joanne (André), nephew John, great niece Brianna and great nephew Jack. She is predeceased by her husband Ralph (2003), brother Robert Rollins, parents Robert & Mildred Rollins, sister-in-law Elva Preston (Alan) and brother-in-law Doug Sweeting. A private family interment has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate Faye’s life will be held at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield, on Saturday May 23, 2026 at 11:00 AM. Visitation one hour prior to the service. A reception will follow in the Heritage Room of the funeral home.
