Gregory Paul Guiry, age 61, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2026, in Lindsay, Ontario, Canada, at Ross Memorial Hospital.

Gregory was born on February 18, 1965, in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. At age four he moved to California with his family, his father, mother, and brother, before eventually returning to his roots in Omemee, Ontario, Canada. It was during his early years in California that he developed a love for surfing, a passion that stayed with him throughout his life. 

Gregory was a son, a brother, and a member of a close-knit family. He is survived by his father, Richard Lawrence Guiry; his brother, Richard David Guiry; his sister-in-law, Joyce; and his nephews, Richard Jr., Nicholas, Michael, Jonathan, Gregory, Benjamin, Stephen, and niece, Ariel Guiry. 

He was preceded in death by his brother, Stephen James Guiry, and his mother, Sharon Louise Guiry.

Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation at HENDREN FUNERAL HOME, 66 Queen Street Lakefield, from 11:00AM-12:00PM

A Mass Christian Burial will be held at St. Martin of Tours R.C. Church, 513 Ennis Road, Ennismore on Friday May 15, at 1:00PM

Interment to follow the service, at St. Martin’s R.C. Cemetery.
